Adam Shaffer Employed at Flight 93 National Memorial

First year student Adam Shaffer is currently employed by the National Park Service at Flight 93 National Memorial. Mr. Shaffer has worked there since 2005 serving to  fulfill many functions, not limited to volunteer coordinator, design competition exhibit manager, website editor and field interpreter.

Mr. Shaffer is currently enrolled in the Student Career Experience Program (SCEP) through a cooperative agreement between IUP and the NPS. Prior to his employment with the NPS, Adam held internships with the Student Conservation Association (SCA), Currents of the Juniata Valley, Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) at the Somerset Historical Center, and Gettysburg National Military Park.

Mr. Shaffer is pursuing the public history track in our graduate program.
