Jeremy Smith’s Delaware Internship

Jeremy’s thoughts on his summer internship:

This summer I spent my time doing an internship with the Delaware Museum of Natural History in Greenville, Delaware. I worked with five other interns in the Collections and Research Division. I was tasked with identifying and repairing broken keyword tags for their online digital archives. I revised the keywords for approximately 2,669 online pictures.

It was a great experience to learn about how museums outside of my own field work. There were differences, but a lot of the same principles applied, such as funding sources and the push to move online. All in all I had a pretty good summer.
